Content Requirements for Participating in DINA
Participating DINA communities provide an exhaustive collection of information
about their demographics, economics, and quality of life. This information includes
city government, education, housing, recreation, contacts for doing business,
and available industrial and commercial sites. DINA websites for
participating cities are also subject to HTML 4.0 Transitional construction
standards in order to assure that access to each site is universal,
regardless of the type of hardware and software used by the viewer.
The amount and variety of information that can be included in a community
home page is unlimited.

Required Information
- Directory and brief description of educational facilities in the area.
- Directory and brief description of area medical facilities.
- Directory of area transportation facilities and services, including
commercial air carriers (identify the closest commercial airport), rail and
port facilities, and highway & common carrier information.
- Directory of community telecommunications and media infrastructure,
including local, long distance & cellular phone service, Internet service
providers, newspapers, radio, television, and cable tv systems serving the
area, including individual contact names and phone numbers.
- Directory of utilities for the area, including electric, water, and
natural gas, including individual contact names and phone numbers.
- Directory of real estate firms in the area.
Information about local (city/county) business and occupational
licenses, fees and permits, with fee schedules if possible; and directory
of local (city/county) offices which handle these, with contact names.
- Directory of visitor services in the area, including hotels,
restaurants, other tourist facilities.
- List and description of industrial parks.
- Descriptions of any available industrial sites, including a contact
name and phone.
- Up to two photos, map showing the location, and detailed description of
one selected available industrial site with contact information.
- Directory of top 10 area employers (all industries, including
manufacturing, service, retail, government, mining, agriculture, etc.).
- Local sales and property tax information.
- Directory of chamber members (recommended, not required).
- Community location marked on a map of Arkansas.
- Current statistics about community population, housing, and labor force.
- Links to state and federal offices in Arkansas which are related to
economic development.
- Directory of area manufacturers.
- State and local tax information, including income and real and personal
property taxes.
- Links to related Economic Planning & Development District.
- Arkansas map of interstate highways and navigable waterways.
- Climate information, including a link to current weather conditions provided
by the National Weather Service, the Weather Channel, or other similar organizations.
- Links to appropriate commercial Web home pages, such as utilities,
telecommunications firms, real estate firms, etc.
- Information about state business and occupational licenses, fees, and
permits, state government directory and links to relevant state government
sites.

- Your community's logo
A short narrative about the community, about two paragraphs long, including interesting facts about the community, history, sites of interest, etc.
A photo to be displayed on the "welcome page" (front page) of the home page, plus a selection of photos representing different facets of life in the community
Photos (and accompanying captions) of the mayor, Chamber president, and/or Chamber executive
Calendar of upcoming community events, including concerts, festivals, sporting events, etc.
A personal message from the Chamber president or executive
The URL (Internet address) of any local home pages with which links should be established
Links to relevant university Web sites
A brief audio and/or video message about the community (up to 30 seconds of video or 60 seconds of audio)
- A community map with "clickable" sites of interest, accompanied by descriptions and photos.
